Zez is a writer and educator born and raised in San Francisco. He teaches dynamic storytelling that emphasizes speculative reimaginings of the past, present and future, incorporating visual arts, oral narratives, and creative movement. She has degrees in linguistics and creative writing from the University of Chicago, attended the Clarion Writers’ Workshop in 2023, and is currently pursuing her MFA in Fiction from San Francisco State University, where she teaches fiction and poetry to undergraduates. Their writing explores speculative futures of queerness, grief, the California coast, and living alongside apocalypse. In his free time he is a martial artist, birdwatcher, and lover of bad 90s science fiction TV.
